FISH for +13, +18, +21, X/Y

 

Using FISH techniques, our laboratory can provide results within 24-48 hours for blood, amniotic fluid, and buccal swab specimens.  Receiving results quickly is invaluable, if for example, you are treating an infant with dysmorphic features and want to rule out Down syndrome, or you require confirmation for prenatal ultrasound findings for trisomy 13 or trisomy 18. The probes used in this assay have been approved by the FDA.

Turn-around-time: 24-48 hours for blood/amnio/buccal swab

Tissue samples require 3-4 weeks turn around time. Culturing of the cells provides better resolution for screening these types of specimens.
